Islamabad strongly criticized comments made by Indian Defence Minister Rajnath Singh in a TV interview. Singh seemed to confirm India’s involvement in assassinations in Pakistan. He said they would target terrorists in Pakistan if they escaped there.

Singh’s remarks came after The Guardian’s report, saying Indian agents had been involved in killings in Pakistan since 2020. Singh stated that Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi supported this policy.

This is the first time India has admitted to such actions. Previously, Canadian PM Justin Trudeau and the US Department of Justice had pointed to potential Indian involvement in similar incidents.

Pakistan provided evidence of India’s role in these killings. The Foreign Office condemned Singh’s statements, calling them provocative. They emphasized Pakistan’s commitment to defending its sovereignty and called for international accountability for India’s actions.

The Foreign Office also highlighted that these assassinations violated Pakistan’s sovereignty and international law. They called for justice against those responsible for these killings, stressing the need for international action.
