In a legal saga unfolding in the entertainment world, former cameraman Emilio Garcia has filed a lawsuit against American rapper Megan Thee Stallion, alleging sexual harassment and creating a hostile work environment during his tenure with the artist.

Garcia, who worked with Megan from 2018 to 2023, has accused her of subjecting him to a range of misconduct, including sexual harassment, weight-shaming comments, and creating a hostile work environment. A spokesperson for Megan has vehemently denied all allegations, dismissing the suit as an attempt to extort money.

According to reports, Garcia’s lawsuit, filed in the Los Angeles County Superior Court, details disturbing incidents, including one where he claims to have been trapped in a moving vehicle with Megan while she engaged in intercourse with another woman. Garcia alleges that he was warned not to discuss the incident and was subsequently subjected to beratement and weight-shaming by Megan.

The lawsuit points to a specific incident in June 2022, during a trip to Ibiza, Spain, where Garcia alleges the sexual encounter took place in an SUV with Megan and three other women. In an interview with NBC News, Garcia described feeling uncomfortable and shocked by the situation.

Among the accusations outlined in the suit, Garcia claims that Megan’s behavior created a hostile and abusive work environment, making his working conditions intolerable. He further alleges that his pay structure was altered following the incident, transitioning from a monthly flat-rate to a pay-per-task arrangement, while simultaneously restricting him from seeking work elsewhere.

Garcia expressed feeling degraded by Megan’s alleged fat-shaming remarks, highlighting the irony of such comments coming from someone who advocates for body positivity. The lawsuit cites instances where Megan purportedly told him to “spit your food out” and that “you don’t need to be eating.”

Megan Thee Stallion’s attorney has framed Garcia’s lawsuit as solely motivated by financial gain, emphasizing the absence of any formal sexual harassment claim. The legal battle is expected to proceed in court, with both parties preparing to present their respective cases.

The lawsuit against Megan Thee Stallion underscores the ongoing challenges faced by individuals in the entertainment industry, shedding light on issues of workplace misconduct and power dynamics within the music business.
