A group of opposition parties in Pakistan, including PTI, BNP-M, JI, PkMAP, MWM, are starting protests today in Balochistan. They’re calling it the Tehreek Tahafuz Ayeen-i-Pakistan (TTAP) movement. They’re upset about what they believe was cheating in the recent elections and want to protect the country’s constitution and ensure the rule of law.
Mehmood Khan Achakzai from PkMAP is leading this alliance of parties. They’re unhappy about things like the rising prices of gas and electricity, which make life harder for people. They’re not against the army but don’t want it to be involved in politics. They’re starting public meetings to talk about these issues, beginning in Pishin today.
The movement will begin in Balochistan but will spread to other parts of the country later. They might also include JUI-F in their protests. They’re upset because they think PTI won more seats in the election than they were given credit for, and they’re going to keep protesting until they get what they believe is a fair result. They also criticize the current government for not representing the people and causing problems like unemployment and a bad investment environment. They want to fix these issues by restoring the rule of law.
