Rana Sanaullah, the PML-N Punjab President and newly appointed adviser to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on political affairs, underscored the importance of political dialogue and urged the PTI to demonstrate seriousness in engaging in meaningful discussions.
In an interview on Geo News program ‘Geo Pakistan’, Sanaullah highlighted the necessity for all political parties to come together to address the current political and economic challenges facing the country. He emphasized the message conveyed by former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif during his homecoming speech in October, advocating for a collaborative approach involving all parties and institutions to navigate the nation out of its current predicament.
Responding to queries about the PML-N’s plans to initiate talks with other political parties, including the PTI, Sanaullah affirmed the party’s commitment to dialogue as a means of resolving political instability. He stressed the importance of sincerity and consistency in the PTI’s approach towards negotiations, citing conflicting statements from PTI leaders regarding their willingness for talks.
Sanaullah also disclosed ongoing discussions with JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman, underscoring the importance of maintaining a constructive dialogue with the opposition. He expressed optimism in addressing Fazl’s concerns and resolving issues amicably through dialogue.
Regarding the possibility of governor rule in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sanaullah dismissed the option, advocating for dialogue as the preferred approach to address any challenges in the region.
Sanaullah reiterated his commitment to supporting Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in fulfilling his responsibilities, emphasizing collective efforts and teamwork in steering the country forward in matters of economy, security, and governance.
